Waking up with a Purpose

 Hooray! I actually woke up at 6 a.m. today and did my morning prayer, something I had planned for yesterday but missed. It felt really good to start my day aligned and peaceful.

I had a 9 ;40 a.m. class, so I got ready and headed to campus. In class, the lecturer explained the assignment expectations, which helped clear up a few things. Then something sweet and unexpected happened…

Free Juice & Warm Moments 

After class, we passed by the Student Centre, and guess what? They were giving out free juice! As if they knew I needed it, because I had only brought biscuits. That little gesture reminded me how powerful giving can be. Seeing people smile and say “thank you” for something small is honestly such a joy. It made me realise:
“Giving back brings joy to both the giver and the receiver.”
 
Study Sessions & Real Conversations

Later, I chilled with my friend while we ate, and then we jumped back into study mode, still preparing for my test next week. We asked each other questions, and it was so helpful. Studying with someone makes learning feel less heavy and more like a fun conversation. If we did not know the answer, we searched for it together. That is teamwork!
When I got back to res, I made some food, played some music, and took a 30-minute nap... but that did not last long, my friend knocked and said, “Let us go study.” And of course, I said yes! 

A Pause to Reflect 

During our break from studying, we had a real heart-to-heart moment. We talked about how we got into the University of Johannesburg and the challenges we faced on our journey. It reminded me of this:
"You never really know someone’s story until they open up."

It was powerful, listening and sharing. There is a quiet strength in those moments of reflection with people you trust.

 What I Learned Today:

Waking up early sets a positive tone
Giving, even small things, spreads warmth
Studying with friends = more focus, more fun
Everyone carries a story worth hearing

Mood of the Day:

☀️ Early start energy
🤝 Helping hands
🎶 Music & memories
🧠 Brain + heart learning

That is Tuesday in my world. Not perfect, but definitely beautiful in its own colorful way.

Why I Chose to Keep Writing

 This is not my first time blogging, I actually started writing during a university assignment for UJ’s 20-year celebration. But something about that experience stayed with me. I realised how much I enjoyed slowing down, reflecting, and capturing the colors of my daily life. So, this time, I am doing it for me. So here I am. Still writing. Still reflecting.
